CAR PARKING

Free on-road parking is available in all the shopping areas. In addition, there are a number of car-parks:

Adur District Council own and operate car parks in:

• South Street (behind Gardner & Scardifield)
• The old station goods yard (behind the Co-op) - Parking Disks only
• Littlecroft, North Road (behind Queensway Square)
• Culver Road (by the Football Ground)
• North Farm Road

Adur used to operate a 2-hour free scheme with parking disks (available through their office in North Road, and also in the Co-op). Certain car-parks had a ticket option as well. However, this has now been superceded by a new scheme (with the exception of the Co-op, which still offers two hours free disk parking.

Adur Parking Charges:

• First 20 mins - Free (ticket required)
• Up to 1 hour - 40p
• 1 - 2 hours - 80p
• 2 - 3 hours - £1.20
• 3 - 4 hours - £1.60
• All day - £2.00 (North Farm Road and South Street only)
• Disabled Parking (in designated spaces) - Free
• Charges apply from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday - Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays)

Lancing Parish Council own and operate a car park on Brighton Road at Beach Green, for which charges apply during certain times.

West Sussex County Council own and operate a free car park on Chartwell Road within the Lancing Business Park.

There is also a small pay car park along the north side of Lancing Station in Sompting Road for rail users.
